About
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas by immigrant parents. I studied biology and film as a Presidential Scholar at the University of Southern California. After that, I graduated with honors from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry at the top of my class. I currently live in Brooklyn with my husband and our dog. I provide patient care to the Chinese diaspora communities of Sunset Park, Chinatown, and Flushing. My roots and ancestral past remain the pride and foundation for who I am today.
My clinical training and work experience are well-rounded and built on a strong ophthalmology foundation. I was previously an attending physician at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center ophthalmology department for in-patient and emergency care. I also served as an adjunct clinical instructor for SUNY College of Optometry, teaching optometry students that rotated through my practices. Additionally, my optical experience ranges from luxury boutiques to the popular Warby Parker.
From when I could walk, I trained in all forms of dance and competed throughout my life. I’m an avid photographer, painter, and poet. Concerts and art museums are my favorite place to be. I am currently studying Arabic and exploring pottery.
My philosophy is that optometry is an art and a science. As such, the artist in me continues to inspire the clinician in me (and vice versa). My ultimate goal is to blend the highest level of patient care with my creative sensibility.
